Deadline To Apply For Low-Income Heating Assistance Extended To April 13

Pennsylvanians struggling to pay home heating bills will have extra time to apply for financial help through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Secretary of the Department of Public Welfare Gary D. Alexander announced Wednesday.
The federally-funded program was slated to end March 30, but the state’s efficient management of the program has enabled an extension through April 13.
