Weis Markets To Hold What Earth Day Means To Me Student Contest April 22

Weis Markets Friday announced it will hold a “What Earth Day Means to Me” coloring contest for children, age 12 and under, in its stores from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. 
            All entrants will color on Weis paper bags.  At the end of of the contest, each store will choose three winners based on creativity and environmental themes.  The three winners per store will each receive $50 Weis gift cards. 
            "We are inviting children and families to our stores to participate in an Earth Day Coloring Contest,” said Patti Olenick, Weis Markets’ Sustainability Manager.  “Our goal is to educate and create awareness about the natural environment in the communities that we serve and to encourage children to make lifestyle changes that can have a positive impact. " 
            Weis Markets’ stores are promoting the program through in-store signage and radio ads and on Facebook and Twitter.
