The Scranton Times Tribune Friday reported the Third U.S. Circuit Court Of Appeals confirmed a lower court ruling throwing out a controversial $6.5 million jury verdict against four staff members of the Department of Environmental Protection's Wilkes-Barre Region.
The jury had found the DEP officials personally liable for damages for allegedly retaliating against a now-defunct Bethlehem mineral wool maker through their enforcement actions.
