Electric Utilities, Experts To Brief PUC On Summer Electric Demand June 7

The Public Utility Commission Wednesday announced its annual Summer Reliability Forum, which provides a snapshot of various conditions that may affect electric supply, price and service reliability for the upcoming summer, will be held in Harrisburg.
            The Summer Reliability Forum meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. June 7, in Hearing Room 1 of the Commonwealth Keystone Building. 
            PUC Chairman Robert F. Powelson will make opening remarks.  Representatives from the PUC, PJM Interconnection LLC, the Energy Association of Pennsylvania and their member electric companies have been invited to provide information and updates.
            Topics that will be covered during the meeting include: forecasted load and capacity; generation and transmission adequacy for the upcoming summer months; the perspectives of electric distribution companies on electric distribution system reliability and the NERC national summer assessment.
