The June 2005 National Geographic features two Chesapeake Bay-related articles -- one discussing Bay health and restoration and the other highlighting the 1608 voyage of Captain John Smith.

Chesapeake Bay Program Office staff provided significant scientific, GIS mapping and communications support for the article. National Geographic has also launched a companion Chesapeake Bay web page.
