The Spring Creek Watershed Association in Centre County is hosting a special presentation on August 21 at the Patton Township Municipal Building, 100 Patton Plaza Dr. in State College on the role of Centre County watersheds in protecting the Chesapeake Bay.

Daina Beckstrand, Chesapeake Bay Program: Nutrient Management Technician, will discuss the role that the Bay Technicians have undertaken at the county level to carry out the provisions of the TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) for meeting the load reductions (nitrogen, phosphorus, sediment) required for restoring the Chesapeake Bay.
