PRC Hosts Household Collection Events In Allegheny, Beaver Counties

The PA Resources Council and its partners will host Household Chemicals Collection events in Allegheny and Beaver counties this fall.

The Allegheny County event will be held on September 15 at the South Park Wave Pool parking lot in Allegheny County from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on September 15.  Click Here for event details.

The Beaver County event will be held on October 13 at the Brady’s Run Park Recycling Center also from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Click Here for event details.

Individuals can drop off unwanted paint and paint products, motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, chemistry sets, household cleaners, aerosol cans, pesticides and herbicides, photo and pool chemicals and more for a small fee of $2 per gallon.

The first 3 household chemical collections of 2012 in Western PA attracted 1,600 participants who dropped off nearly 150,000 pounds of hazardous materials.
