2012 State Of The Delaware Estuary Report Released
|
The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary released its "State of the Estuary Report" Thursday, just feet from the Christina River in Wilmington. Among those participating were many of the scientists who authored the report together with representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Delaware River Basin Commission, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and the University of Delaware. The "State of the Estuary Report" is a scientific health assessment of the tidal Delaware River and Bay, as well as the land draining to them in coastal Delaware, southern New Jersey, and Southeast Pennsylvania. It summarizes some of the scientific information thoroughly presented in the Technical Report for the Delaware Estuary and Basin completed earlier this year. A copy of the State of the Estuary Report is available online. For more information, Click Here for the Summer issue of Estuary News. |
