Governor Names Bill Sasso, Other Members To PA Infrastructure Investment Authority

Gov. Tom Corbett Tuesday announced he has designated William “Bill” Sasso of Gwynedd Valley to serve as Chairman of the PA Infrastructure and Investment Authority.

“Bill Sasso has earned the admiration and respect of government and business leaders in both southeastern Pennsylvania and across the state,’’ Corbett said. “I am confident that Bill will serve Pennsylvania with honor and distinction as chairman of PennVEST. I would also like to thank Joe Manko for his years of service to the commonwealth as chairman of PennVEST.”

Sasso, commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority and board chairman at the Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young law firm in Philadelphia, is a well-known civic leader in the region and is active in an array of community organizations.

Also appointed were the following PennVEST board members:

-- M. Joel Bolstein, Doylestown, Bucks County;

-- Donald V. Gennuso, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County;

-- Bruce Hottle, Somerset, Somerset County; and

-- Jan Rea, McCandless, Allegheny County

PennVEST funds sewer, storm water and drinking water projects with low cost financial assistance throughout the  state. PennVEST funding also assists businesses to locate and expand their operations in Pennsylvania to create permanent, well-paying jobs.
