Pennsylvania’s first Master Watershed Steward Program will be piloted in the Lehigh Valley in 2013 as a collaborative effort between Penn State Extension, the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, the Nurture Nature Center, the Northampton County Conservation District, the PA Environmental Council and the Appalachian Mountain Club. The Master Watershed Steward Program is an educational extension program that empowers citizens of the Lehigh Valley to take action to address watershed problems throughout the region. The program is looking for individuals with a keen interest in the environment, a willingness to learn more and most importantly, a strong desire to make a difference in the community.
