Hard-to-Recycle Collection Schedule Set In Pittsburgh Area

Got e-waste to recycle? Secure documents to shred? We have the one-stop solution! This year, at PA Resources Council's Hard-to-Recycle Collections, residents can drop off televisions, electronic waste (including computers, monitors, keyboards printers and more), cell phones, printer/toner cartridges, CFLs, ink and toner cartridges and small appliances for free. The events will be held-- -- April 20 - Allegheny County, Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills. -- June 8 - Washington County, Steel City Harley Davidson. -- August 17 - City of Pittsburgh, Environmental Services, Strip Dist. -- October 5 - Allegheny County, The Mall at Robinson. Please note the new event time this year - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, paper for shredding, alkaline batteries, fluorescent tubes, specialty lights, small Freon appliances, CD's and floppy disks for shredding may be dropped off for a fee.
