Managing Municipal Stormwater Workshops April 17-18 In Erie
|
Environment Erie is hosting a Managing Muncipal Stormwater Workshop on April 17-18 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie. This workshop will consist of presentations from the Department of Environmental Protection’s Tim Bruno to discuss stormwater regulations, Penn State’s Dr. Elmendorf and Scott Sjolander about stormwater ordinances and using trees in stormwater infrastructure, and keynote speaker Dr. Traver with the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership to speak about sustainable design in urban/suburban stormwater retrofits. While this workshop is geared towards all those interested in stormwater management, we are also offering continuing education credits/units at an additional charge for those professionals who qualify. While these are just a few of the topics being discussed in this action packed workshop, the first day will end with a round table discussion for the option of a Q and A. The second day will be completely spent in the field visiting local stormwater management projects. The idea behind day two is to connect the topics from the first day with the visuals in day two. For more information on the workshop or to register, visit the online registration webpage or contact Matt Pluta with Environment Erie at 814-835-8069 ext 104 (Reprinted from Penn State Extension Watershed Winds newsletter.) |
