Montgomery Stormwater Management With Green Infrastructure Workshop April 11
|
Penn State Extension is sponsoring a Stormwater Management With Green Infrastructure Workshop on April 11 at the Montgomery County Farm & Home Center, Collegeville starting at 8:45 a.m. Stormwater runoff impacts our streams and watershed, causing declines in water quality, stream bank erosion, flash floods, degraded wildlife habitat, and reduced groundwater recharge. Studies determine significant impairment of waterways occurs when impervious surfaces such as parking lots or rooftops cover 10 percent of the land in a watershed. Learn new cost effective techniques or practices to help manage your community’s stormwater by attending this workshop. MS4 municipalities especially should consider attending to understand the applications and permitting required to meet TMDLs. Click Here to register or for more information. |
