Nolde Forest EE Center Emergency Preparedness Workshop May 11, Berks County

The Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center is hosting an emergency preparedness workshop on May 11 from 8:30 to Noon in C.H. McConnell Hall at the Center, 2910 New Holland Road, Reading, Berks County. The focus of the workshop is steps you can take during a power outage. Speakers will address these topics-- -- FirstEnergy/Met-Ed will address how they resolve power outages; -- Berks County Emergency Services will review county resources available; -- American Red Cross will address family readiness for emergencies; and -- Nolde Forest Sustainable Energy Committee will have demonstration items on-hand covering water storage and purification, food storage, alternative energy options for heating, lighting.
