The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate-- House Natural Gas Conversions: House Bill 307 (Evankovich-R- Armstrong) amending the Air Pollution Control Act to eliminate duplication of certification for natural gas vehicles was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee and passed by the House. A summary and House Fiscal Note are available. The bill now goes to the Senate for action. Natural Gas Conversions II: House Bill 304 (Marshall-R-Beaver) funding conversions of transit buses to natural gas was removed from the Table and referred into and out of the House Appropriations Committee. The bill is now on the House Calendar for action. Drinking Water Week: House Resolution 271 (Miller-R-York) designating May 5-11 Drinking Water Week was adopted by the House. Senate Natural Gas Conversions: House Bill 301 (Saylor-R-York) providing for a natural gas fleet vehicle tax credit, House Bill 305 (Denlinger-R-Lancaster) providing for a natural gas corridor tax credit, House Bill 309 (Grove-R-York) providing for a natural gas vehicle tax credit were referred to the Senate Finance Committee. |
