Little Conestoga Partnership Seeking Firm For Stormwater Assistance Work

The Little Conestoga Partnership has announced two RFQs related to a new stormwater incentives program being launched in the Little Conestoga watershed in Lancaster County.  The deadline for responding is May 9.

The Little Conestoga Partnership is a locally-led partnership effort formed to assist municipalities and suburban/urban landowners with innovative, cost-effective tools and approaches to reduce stormwater pollution and improve the health of the Little Conestoga Creek watershed.

The Partnership funds this program with a Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund grant awarded to the Conservation Foundation of Lancaster County from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

With this funding, the Partnership will provide assistance to landowners who are interested in implementing best management practices (BMPs) that reduce stormwater runoff from residential, municipal, institutional and commercial lands to improve the quality of water entering the Little Conestoga Creek.

The Partnership is looking for: (1) firms to help landowners conduct stormwater assessments and plans; and (2) firms that can install any or all of the following BMPs:  rain gardens, riparian buffers, tree planting, native meadows, pervious pavers, rain barrels, and cisterns.

The RFQs can be accessed on the Lancaster County Clean Water Consortium’s website.
