The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate--

Senate

Transportation Funding: Senate Bill 1 (Rafferty-R-Montgomery) a comprehensive transportation funding plan which raises about $2.6 billion in annual funding by FY 2017-18-- summary was reported out of the Senate Transportation Committee and is now on the Senate Calendar for action.

Natural Gas Service Extension: Senate Bill 738 (Yaw-R-Lycoming) providing for natural gas distribution system extension, expansion plans and Senate Bill 739 (Yaw-R-Lycoming) authorizing the Commonwealth Financing Authority to provide $15 million for school, hospital, small businesses to obtain access to natural gas were referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

House

Natural Gas Competition: House Bill 1188 (Payne-R- Dauphin) providing for adjustments to the cost of natural gas was reported from the House Consumer Affairs Committee and Tabled.
