Rain Garden Workshop Set For May 18 In Lancaster

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Conservation Foundation of Lancaster County, and members of the Little Conestoga Partnership will host a Rain Garden and Clean Water Landscaping Workshop on May 18 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Wheatland Middle School, 919 Hamilton Park Dr., Lancaster.

Learn about how you can manage stormwater runoff in your yard with rain gardens, rain barrels, and native plantings. CBF will lead a hands-on rain garden workshop and volunteer planting. The Little Conestoga Partnership will present its Homeowner's Guide to Stormwater manual, chock-full of information about protecting our watershed in every yard.

The event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Bring your friends and neighbors and get inspired for landscaping for clean water at your home!

Register for the workshop by sending email to Kate Austin at: kaustin@cbf.org.
