Hawk Mountain, Penn State Schuylkill To Offer Raptor Day Camp July 15-19

Are your kids interested in birds, nature, and the outdoors?  If so, then Penn State Schuylkill and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary have teamed up to present Raptor Camp as a new offering in the Penn State "Kids College" camp program.

During Raptor Camp, participants will spend three days at Hawk Mountain and two at Penn State, with shuttle transport provided to and from Penn State and the Sanctuary

At Hawk Mountain, kids will enjoy live raptor experiences, learn about raptor study techniques and optics use, practice bird ID, and head outside on bird walks and hikes, including to an Ice-age boulder field.

The camp also will include outdoor crafts and activities, and the great activities that Penn State Schuylkill already provides all camp participants.

The Kids College is especially great for families with more than one child, and where siblings have different interests. For example, in addition to Raptor Camp, some of this year’s other options include a focus on cooking, football, golf, cartooning, and many more.

For complete details, visit the Raptor Camp webpage. Students who enroll must bring their own bagged lunch, and will meet at H & W 202 at Penn State in Schuylkill Haven.
