Senate/House Bills Moving

The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate--

Senate

Agricultural Easements: House Bill 84 (Miller-R-York) requiring the inspection of all agricultural conservation easements was passed by the Senate without amendment and now goes to the Governor for his action.  A summary and Senate Fiscal Note are available.

Emissions Inspection Exemption: Senate Bill 332 (Vogel-R-Beaver) intends to exempt vehicles of up to 10 years old from the emissions inspection program was reverted to the prior printer’s number which eliminated amendments made last week to exempt vehicles of up to two years old from safety inspections and reported from the Senate Transportation Committee and is now on the Senate Calendar for action.

Green Buildings: House Bill 34 (Harper-R-Montgomery) setting green building standards for state-owned or leased buildings-- summary-- was reported from the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and is now on the Senate Calendar for action.

Onlot Septic System Reviews: House Bill 1325 (Maloney-R-Berks) and Senate Bill 946 (Baker-R-Luzerne) amending Act 537 to provide that on-lot septic systems approved by DEP meet anti-degradation requirements-- summary-- were reported from the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and were both referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee 

State Budget: House Bill 1437 (Adolph-R-Delaware) FY 2013-14 General Fund state budget-- summary was reported out of and referred back to the Senate Appropriations Committee.  A summary and Senate Fiscal Note are available.  (The Senate Appropriations Committee is scheduled to consider the bill Monday.)
