Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful announced the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania Video Contest Winners! The winning entry was submitted by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy in Montgomery County who will receive a $300 cash prize. The video was produced entirely by volunteers and depicts the Conservancy’s annual stream cleanup. The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy has been hosting the cleanup for over a decade. Two runners up will receive a cash prize of $150 each and they are the Harrisburg Young Professionals and local residents of the community of East Rochester. The Harrisburg Young Professionals were captured doing their part to clean up and beautify six city blocks and City Island in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, and volunteers of all ages teamed together to clean up their community of East Rochester in Beaver County. “Thank you to all the groups who submitted videos for our inaugural Great American Cleanup of PA video contest and a huge kudos to all for getting out there and making our communities clean and beautiful,” says Shannon Reiter, President of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. “We appreciate all the entries and all of the people that voted.” Look for the contest next year at the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful website or on the KPB Facebook page.
