The Pennsylvania Office of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation this week welcomed its new Senior Scientist, Ruth Sitler, to the team.

Ruth comes to CBF from an internationally recognized consulting firm specializing in low-impact development and advanced stormwater management design.  She's also worked with the Department of Environmental Protection in the Stormwater Management Section as well as the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Section.

Notability, Ruth's time with DEP focused on developing watershed-based stormwater management plans, co-authoring Pennsylvania's NPDES Phase 2 stormwater permitting rules, serving as Coastal Zone Management program liaison for the Lake Erie watershed, and spearheading several state policy workgroups dealing with nutrient trading and integrated water resource management.
