Allegheny County Rain Garden Design, Management For Landscape Professionals Sept. 7

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and its partners are sponsoring a workshop September 7 in the Borough of Etna, Allegheny County, on rain garden design and management for landscape professionals starting at 9:00 a.m. The morning will include a variety of classroom presentations, followed by an actual rain garden installation in the afternoon. Continuing education credits through Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association and American Society of Landscape Architects (PA and DE chapter) are included. The price of the workshop, which includes a light breakfast, lunch and binder of handouts, is just $50, thanks to a grant from the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania Citizen Education Fund.
