Here in the “dog days” of summer, there’s not much activity on Capitol Hill, but here are some bills that were recently introduced.

Recycling Fee Extension: House Bill 1902 (Rubley-R-Chester) extending the existing recycling fee from 2009 to 2019 and requiring Section 904 Recycling Performance Grants to be spent by local governments on recycling, waste reduction and anti-littering and dumping activities.

ATVs/Mine Lands: House Bill 1912 (George-D-Clearfield) providing for the acquisition of abandoned mine lands for use as ATV trails.
