Northeastern Pollution Prevention Roundtable Partners with Env. Professionals

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Pollution Prevention Roundtable is partnering with the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals to promote energy efficiency and pollution prevention activities.

The new name of the group will be the Pollution Prevention/Energy Efficiency (P2E2) Roundtable of PAEP.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Pollution Prevention Roundtable was formed in 1997 and has held over 30 events, including: pollution prevention focused tours at many local businesses and plants, compliance assistance seminars, energy efficiency workshops, statewide events, and a variety of environmentally focused quarterly meetings.

The P2E2 Roundtable also provides a forum for business and industry to meet face-to-face on a regular basis to discuss the implementation of pollution prevention and environmental improvement programs, exchange ideas about successful and unsuccessful environmental approaches and techniques, hear about new environmental initiatives and provide input to environmental programs.

Business and industry provide the leadership for the P2E2 Roundtable meetings, and members decide topics of interest to be covered during the meetings.

The first event as part of PAEP will be August 18 at Gentex Corp., and will include a tour of the Waymart Windmill Farm.
