The Department of Environmental Protection this week published the 2011 Low-Level Radioactive Waste Program Report and provided copies to the General Assembly and the Appalachian States Compact Commission.

The report provides statistics on the amount of low-level radioactive waste generated in the state, the characteristics of the waste and how the waste is disposed.  It also reviews the monies spent on the program for calendar year 2011.
