PA Parks & Forests Foundation Could Be Your Cup Of Tea

Fans of Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests can now support their local green spaces with the purchase of fair trade, organic teas, the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation announced Wednesday.

PPFF is teaming up with online e-tailer Design a Tea to offer four unique tea blends designed to evoke outdoor memories.

“We are excited to work with Design a Tea, a 2012 '100 Brilliant Companies' award winner, on this project to bring you teas to sip throughout the year,” says PPFF president Marci Mowery.

The special teas are--

-- Morning Laurel—A cold morning blend, this black tea has a hint of caramel and vanilla

-- Firefly Magic—A refreshing iced tea blend, this green tea features cherry, honey and jasmine

-- Bearfoot Meadow—Hot tea on a warm day? Try this black tea with elderberry

-- Memories of Summer—A lapsang/oolong blend, this tea carries a hint of campfire flavor

Twenty-five percent of all sales—of the designer teas as well as other merchandise on the website—made with the coupon code “PPFF” will be donated to the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.

Proceeds raised will go to support volunteer activities, improve accessibility for disabled visitors, build playgrounds and help combat invasive species in Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests.

Design a Tea shares PPFF’s commitment to conservation and fair trade: all teas offered are organically grown as part of the Ethical Tea Partnership, and all flavorings used are all natural and 100 percent organic.
