The October issue of the Environmental Synopsis newsletter from the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee is now available.

Environmental Issue Forums

The Committee has scheduled two Environmental Issue Forums in the coming weeks--

-- November 18: Dr. Martin Plishka, a principal of the firm ECO-FRAC, will discuss mitigating the risks of water contamination by using aquatically non-toxic solvents for hydraulic fracturing.  LTBA. Noon.

-- December 9: Eric Jesperson, an analyst and researcher, will do a presentation on PA Water Data-Retrospective and Forward on the history of water data planning in Pennsylvania.  LTBA. Noon.
