Garbage Fashion Gala In Pittsburgh To Raise Money For The Salvation Army Nov. 1

Join Pittsburgh's classiest guys and girls for this season's trashiest event-- The 12th Annual Garbage Bag Gala-- November 1 at the Pittsburgh Fairmont, 510 Market Street starting at 6:00.

It's not every day that you see a pedigreed pup share the runway with local celebrities clad in haute couture fashions created from garbage bags.

This most stylish crowd will be decked out in their dumpster duds to raise valuable dollars for homeless moms, dads and kids living in The Salvation Army's East Liberty Family Caring Center.

These generous partygoers are creating fashions from garbage bags, taking the money they would normally spend on an outfit and donating it to benefit these deserving homeless families.

Garbage Bag Gala is sponsored by Peoples Natural Gas, UnitedHealthcare, Giant Eagle GetGo, The Fountainhead Foundation, Cynthia and Murry Gerber and is in partnership with the Fairmont Pittsburgh and WHIRL Magazine.

The Gala Fashion Show, featuring  Pittsburgh celebrity models including: Flick and Kelly, STAR 100.7 FM; Jack and Christine Tumpson, WHIRL Magazine; Joy and Dwayne Woodruff; Edie, the Fairmont Canine Ambassador with Matthew Sterne, handler and General Manager; and many more.  Participating cutting edge boutiques businesses include: SoME, Larrimor's, Chemistry, Lana Neumeyer, Studio Raw, Ambiance, Tapestry and Tassels, True Runner, Claws and Paws, Pavement, Philip Pelusi and Luxe Home and Design.
