|
The Senate Appropriations Committee is scheduled to meet January 13 to consider Senate Bill 411 (Kasunic-D-Somerset) which would encourage the reuse of mine drainage and mine pool water for drilling operations. The measure provides liability protections for the development of treatment systems for acid mine water utilized for oil and gas well development under the already existing Environmental Good Samaritan Act. The meeting will be held in the Senate Rules Room when announced off the floor of the Senate. Sen. Jake Corman (R-Centre) serves as Majority Chair of the Committee and Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Philadelphia) serves as Minority Chair. |
