WREN Grant Funds Mount Joy Rain Garden Project

In Mount Joy Borough, Lancaster County, a PA League of Women Voters Water Resources Education Network grant helped “A Blooming Good Idea” project create rain gardens throughout the community.

Rain gardens are an efficient and beautiful way to stave off the effects of polluting run-off from roofs, parking lots and impervious surfaces.

Rain gardens have been growing in popularity and during the past several years WREN has awarded many grants to local partnerships to create and install rain gardens in their communities.
