DEP Secretary Chris Abruzzo this week named Kelly Burch to the newly created position of Executive Director For Oil and Gas Operations in the Oil and Gas Management Deputate.  Burch was most recently the Regional Director of DEP’s office in Meadville.

Burch has been with DEP since 1986, serving in a variety of positions with the agency, and has represented Pennsylvania on the Great Lakes Commission.

“In this new executive leadership role, Kelly will lead the implementation of oil and gas programs in DEP’s regional offices.  His years of experience and familiarity with the agency will be valuable assets in our goal to improve consistency across the regions,” said Abruzzo. “Specifically, Kelly will coordinate regional office actions related to the oil and gas industry to ensure the consistent application and enforcement of program policies and evaluate program effectiveness.”
