Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, Technology Workshop In Williamsport March 26

Transportation invite stakeholders, including public and private fleet managers, local municipalities, schools, universities, non-profit entities, government agencies and other interested parties, to an alternative fuels, vehicles and technology workshop on March 26.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Thompson Professional Development Center in Williamsport.

A panel of technical speakers will present information on alternative fuels, including compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), biodiesel, propane autogas and electric vehicles.

Workshop participants will learn how switching to alternative fuels can alleviate dependence on imported petroleum fuel and be a more environmentally friendly option.

Vehicle and technology demonstrations will be provided to help participants determine which technology will work best for their application.

Attendees will also learn how to apply for Pennsylvania’s Alternative Fuels Incentive and Act 13 Natural Gas Vehicle grants.

Seating is limited and the deadline to register is March 19. Online registration is available. The cost is $25, which includes breakfast and lunch. There is no charge for EP-ACT stakeholders.

Questions regarding this workshop should be directed to Tony Bandiero, executive director of EP-ACT by sending email to: director@phillycleancities.org or Michelle Ferguson, DEP northcentral region pollution prevention and energy assistance manager, at miferguson@pa.gov.
