President to Name PA’s Jarrett to DOE Assistant Secretary Post

President Bush intends to nominate Jeffrey D. Jarrett, of Pennsylvania, to be an Assistant Secretary of Energy (Fossil Energy). Mr. Jarrett currently serves as Director of the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement at the Department of the Interior.

He previously served as Deputy Secretary of Mineral Resources Management at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
