The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate-- House Pittsburgh Summer Gasoline: Senate Bill 1037 (Vogel-R-Beaver) directing the Environmental Quality Board to eliminate the low-RVP gasoline requirement for Western Pennsylvania was removed from the Table and referred to the House Appropriations Committee. Variable Rate Electric Contracts: House Bill 2104 (Godshall-R-Montgomery) further providing for consumer protections in variable rate electric supplier contracts was amended and reported from the House Consumer Affairs Committee and Tabled. Drinking Water Week: House Resolution 796 (Vitali-R-Delaware) designating May 4-10 Drinking Water Week was reported out of the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and is one the House Calendar for action. Senate Drinking Water Week: Senate Resolution 366 (Yudichak-D-Luzerne) designating May 4-10 as Drinking Water Week was introduced and adopted by the Senate- sponsor summary. Earth Day: Senate Resolution 363 (Hughes-D-Philadelphia) designating April 22 Earth Day was introduced and adopted by the Senate. |
