The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania Certification Training Program is offering three workshops across the state to demonstrate how to use compost for erosion, sediment and stormwater controls.

The workshops will be presented by Nora Goldstein of Biocycle Magazine and Michael Broili of Living Systems Design.

Topics include best management practices, regulations, sustainable systems for stormwater management and a field trip to a demonstration site.

The workshops are being held on September 19 at the Schuylkill Ag Center in Pottsville, September 20 at the Lancaster Ag Center and September 21 at the Shippensburg Fire Hall.

These workshops are co-sponsored with the Conservation Districts of Berks, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster and Schuylkill counties and the Soil and Water Quality Alliance.
