CBF-PA Hosts June Stormwater Webinars For Municipal Officials, Engineers

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation-PA and the Center for Watershed Protection are offering two free webinars for Pennsylvania municipal officials and engineers on June 4 and 10.

The webinars will assist officials in developing Chesapeake Bay pollution reduction plans and local TMDL plans, both related to municipal stormwater permitting requirements, and will provide data and details, and will also spotlight the stormwater successes happening in York and Blair counties.

The webinars will be held--

-- June 4: Pennsylvania Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) TMDL Planning. This webinar offers details and suggestions for developing MS4 TMDL plans. Suggestions and examples are based on the innovative approaches being taken by 12 municipalities in Blair County to develop their MS4 TMDL Plan.  It will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Click Here to register.

-- June 10:  Chesapeake Bay Pollution Reduction Plan Development for PA Jurisdictions. This webinar offers details and suggestions for developing Chesapeake Bay Pollution Reduction plans. Recommendations are based on the successful and innovative approaches taken by 45 municipalities in York County.

Together with the York County Planning Commission and other partners, these communities have developed a county-wide Chesapeake Bay Pollution Reduction Plan.  York County is the first in the state to take-on pollution reduction planning at a county-wide level. On the ground improvement projects are expected to begin this summer.   It will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Click Here to register.

The webinars are free, but there is a limit of 200 participants for each.

CBF-PA is offering the webinars as part of its on-going commitment to helping communities reduce stormwater pollution. CBF and CWP have been assisting communities in York and Blair counties to develop their stormwater pollution reduction plans.
