The PA Resources Council is seeking candidates to fill a Zero Waste Pennsylvania Program Coordinator position based in Pittsburgh to manage all aspects of Zero Waste Pennsylvania, including planning and implementation of event services and commercial waste diversion services.

ZWP was formed as a project of the Pennsylvania Resources Council in 2009 to support the growing demand for waste diversion consulting services in Western Pennsylvania. Since its creation, ZWP has developed two core service offerings; event waste diversion management services and commercial/institutional waste diversion consulting.

ZWP’s clients include the Three Rivers Marathon, the Three Rivers Arts Festival, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, and a variety of small to medium events. Waste diversion services are provided to corporate and institutional facilities and have included FedEx Ground Corporate Headquarters, Google Pittsburgh, the YWCA and YMCA.

In 2013 ZWP offered waste diversion services to over 700,000 event attendees and conducted waste audits covering more than 200,000 square feet of client facilities.
