The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of draft technical guidance available for comment on a training provider manual for the Water and Wastewater System Operator Training Program.

DEP also published notice of certification of credits and inter-basin trading requests under the Nutrient Credit Trading Program.

Draft DEP ID: 383-2300-002. Title: Training Provider Manual for the Pennsylvania Water and Wastewater System Operator Training Program. Description: This guidance provides instructions to private training providers on how to apply to become an approved provider (sponsor) of water and wastewater training in this Commonwealth and how to obtain approval of training courses taught to Commonwealth water and wastewater operators. The manual describes sponsor responsibilities, course guide-lines and other elements of the Commonwealth water and wastewater training approval process. Substantive revisions were made to the guidance to update application forms and instructions to reflect the electronic training approval system. The course guidelines (Section 9) contain the most significant revisions, which are intended to clarify and strengthen adult learning concepts and to include guidelines for synchronous web-based courses.
