PSU Center For Nutrient Solutions Science For Solutions 4 Seminar Series

The Penn State Center for Nutrient Solutions has schedule a series of four Science for solutions: Combating the Wicked Nutrient Problem over the next three months.  The seminars will be held--

-- October 10: Legal and Policy Drivers of Nutrient Pollution Solutions featuring Matt Royer, Director of the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center.  The Seminar will be held in Room 105 Forest Resources Building in State College from 12:15 to 1:15.

-- November 7: Insights on Nutrient Fate and Transportation in Watershed of the Eastern U.S. Using SPARROW Modeling Approaches featuring Rich Alexander and Dick Smith from the U.S. Geological Survey.  The Seminar will be held in Room 105 Forest Resources Building in State College from 12:15 to 1:15.

-- November 21: Environmental Resource Assessment and Management (eRAMS): CyberInfrastructure for Sustainable Management of Land, Water & Energy Resources featuring Mazdak Arabi, Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineer at Colorado State University. The Seminar will be held in Room 105 Forest Resources Building in State College from 12:15 to 1:15.

-- December 5: What Is A Healthy Stream or Wetland Worth? Translating Ecosystem Services to Ecosystem Values featuring Rob Brooks, Professor of Geography & Ecology, and Rich Ready, Professor of Agriculture & Environmental Economics at Penn State.  The Seminar will be held in Room 319 Walker Building from 12:15 to 1:15.

This seminar series is sponsored by the Agriculture and Environment Center, Center for Nutrient Pollution Solutions, College of Agricultural Sciences, Riparia, Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment, and the Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center.
