Weis Markets is asking all of its associates to sign the “20 percent by 2020” pledge, acknowledging the company is committed to sustainability practices that minimize its impact on the environment. Weis Markets currently boasts a 52 percent recycling rate. “We are confident that the steps we are taking today will continue to minimize our impact on the environment,” said Patti Olenick, sustainability manager. “We continue to adopt sustainable practices that will help us reach the goal of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20 percent over the next five years.” To learn more, visit Weis Markets’ Sustainability webpage.
