The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of an opportunity to comment on a draft technical guidance related to the beneficial use of coal ash at coal mines in the December 13 PA Bulletin.  Comments are due January 13.

DEP said the changes clarify implementation of new requirements in areas such as water monitoring, ash quality monitoring and certification of coal ash sources.

A copy of the draft guidance is available online.
