The PECO/Natural Lands Trust Green Region Grant Program to support projects in Southeastern Pennsylvania to preserve, protect and improve open space will be accepting applications for grants until March 27.

Eligible applicants must be in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia or York counties.

Municipalities can use PECO Green Region grants in combination with other funding sources to cover a wide variety of planning and direct expenses associated with developing and implementing their open space programs.

PECO Green Region has awarded $1.4 million to municipalities and nonprofit organizations since 2004.
