Another wave of extreme cold temperatures is expected to impact the UGI service territory tonight and through last Tuesday morning, and UGI is again asking natural gas customers in specific communities to practice voluntary conservation during this period by lowering their thermostats to 65 degrees or lower beginning tonight and continuing through 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

UGI thanks all those customers who responded to the Company’s request for voluntary conservation of natural gas last week. UGI’s system performed well during the record cold temperatures experienced Friday and Saturday, due in part to the conservation practiced by our customers in critical areas.

UGI expanded the requested for conservation to areas more areas in Clearfield and Lancaster counties.

UGI customers in the following communities are asked to consider continuing voluntary conservation of natural gas tonight through 9 a.m. Tuesday morning:

-- Carlisle, Cumberland County

-- Clark’s Summit, Lackawanna County

-- Clearfield, Clearfield County

-- Downtown City of Lancaster, Lancaster County

-- Easton, Northampton County

-- Greater Willow Street Area, Lancaster County

-- Jim Thorpe/Lehighton

-- The Greater Millersville Area, Lancaster County

-- Palmyra/Campelltown, Lebanon County

-- Renovo, Clinton County

As before, UGI is making this voluntary conservation request to customers out of an abundance of caution to assist in continuing to ensure system integrity.  Customers with questions or concerns are urged to contact the UGI Call Center at 1-800-276-2722 for additional information.
