Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church Hosts Electronics Recycling Event In Pittsburgh April 11

Spring has sprung and summer’s just around the corner. Clean up the clutter and do something good for the environment.  Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church is proud to host an electronics waste recycling event on April 11 on their premises at 384 Fox Chapel Road in Pittsburgh.

Residents are encouraged to bring their obsolete and unwanted electronics to the church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Vehicle unloading assistance will be provided to all visitors.

This recycling event is intended for items typically purchased throughout the year including computer equipment, LED and LCD flat screen TVs and monitors, cell phones, small appliances, cameras, air conditioners, calculators, typewriters, fax machines, keyboards, computer peripherals, microwaves, and more.

On-site hard drive shredding will also be available at a cost of $10 per hard drive previously removed from computers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church.

For security purposes, all data collected will be destroyed. This convenient recycling program is provided by Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and all items collected will be responsibly recycled by Commonwealth Computer Recycling, a State compliant, R2 certified universal waste and recycling facility.
