The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate-- House Flood Insurance Report: House Bill 717 (Pickett-R-Bradford) eliminating the annual Flood Insurance Program reports was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee and passed by the House. A summary and House Fiscal Note are available. The bill now goes to the Senate for action. Senate EQB Counsel: Senate Bill 307 (Yudichak-D-Luzerne) providing for an independent counsel for the Environmental Quality Board (sponsor summary) was referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee. Funding Sewer Laterals: Senate Bill 289 (Fontana-D-Allegheny) funding for sewage lateral line improvements and repair (sponsor summary) was referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee. Transit Revitalization District: Senate Bill 385 (Pileggi-R- Delaware) will modernize the Pennsylvania Transit Revitalization Investment District (TRID) Act (sponsor summary) was amended on the Senate Floor and referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee. |
