The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Water Well Insurance: House Bill 1097 (Daley-D-Washington) establishing a Water Well Insurance Program (sponsor summary).

High Tunnel Exemption From Stormwater: House Bill 1103 (Zimmerman-R-Lancaster) exempting high tunnels used in farm operations from the Stormwater Management Act (sponsor summary).

EQB Independent Counsel: House Bill 1099 (Maher-R-Allegheny) establishing an independent counsel for the Environmental Quality Board (sponsor summary).

Natural Gas Service: House Resolution 316 (Schreiber-D-York) directing the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to study expanding the availability of natural gas to homes, businesses and local governments (sponsor summary).

Governor’s Budget-House: House Bill 1125 (Markosek-D-Allegheny) Gov. Wolf’s General Fund budget request.
