Brodhead Watershed Assn Hosts Intro To Fly Fishing June 28

Learn about fly fishing from experts hosted by the Brodhead Watershed Association while enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the Brodhead – a creek known for its clean-water trout fishing in Monroe County. Members of Brodhead Watershed Association, Pocono Heritage Land Trust and the Brodhead chapter of Trout Unlimited will lead the event at the new ForEvergreen Nature Preserve, on Cherry Lane, Analomink. The event runs 1 to 4 p.m. on June 28. The program will provide an entertaining and relaxing introduction to equipment selection, casting techniques, how to read the water, effective fly fishing strategy, trout stream entomology, and fly-tying. Suggested donation: $10 for BWA, PHLT and Trout Unlimited members; $15 for nonmembers. Equipment will be provided. Registration required.
