The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate--

House

Moon Lake Transfer: Senate Bill 699 (Yudichak-D-Luzerne) transfers of Moon Lake Park from Luzerne County to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.  A House Fiscal Note and summary are available.  The bill now goes to the Governor for his action.

Wind Farms: House Bill 188 (Sonney-R-Erie) authorizing wind farms in Agricultural Security Areas was amended and reported from the House Rules Committee on concurrence and was passed by the House.  It now returns to the Senate for a concurrence vote.

Senate

EQB Counsel: Senate Bill 307 (Yudichak-D-Luzerne) establishing an independent counsel for the Environmental Quality Board was reported out of the Senate Appropriations Committee and is now on the Senate Calendar for action.  A Senate Fiscal Note and summary are available.
