2006 Keystone Coldwater Conference Set for February 24 & 25

Anyone interested in protecting and restoring watersheds, improving stream access and learning about solutions and problems in Pennsylvania’s waterways are encouraged to attend the 2006 Keystone Coldwater Conference in State College.

This year’s theme is “Our Watersheds at Risk – Protecting Water Quality, Quantity and Stream Access.”

The conference will start Friday evening with a reception and a presentation by Linda Steiner entitled, “A Fish Worth the Fight.”

Dr. Douglas Austen, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, will be the keynote speaker kicking off the Saturday morning session along with Cindy Dunn from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Workshop sessions will be repeated in the morning and afternoon and they include: protecting public access, land acquisition and easements, water quality and water quantity.
